The Program
Digital Solutions is part of the Australian Small Business Advisory Services program, funded by the Australian Government to help small businesses get more out of technology — without the guesswork and without the agency price tag.
For the 2026–2030 program, the provider is BUSY At Work (Busy Business). True Blue IT Services is proud to be one of their key delivery partners across the Northern Territory, Queensland and Western Australia.
That means you get one-on-one mentoring from experienced small business owners and digital advisers who understand regional and remote operating conditions — patchy connections, small teams, tight budgets and all.
Digital Solutions is delivered by BUSY At Work with funding from the Australian Government. True Blue IT Services is a delivery partner for NT, QLD and WA.
What's Covered
Bring one problem or bring the lot. Your five hours can be spent on whichever of these actually moves the needle for your business.
Getting found, looking credible and turning visitors into enquiries.
What to post, where to post it, and how to keep it up without burning out.
Google, Meta and email marketing that suits a small budget and a real audience.
Setting up or improving an online store, payments, shipping and stock.
Choosing tools that fit — and stopping the ones you're paying for and not using.
Where AI genuinely saves you time — and where it's just expensive hype.
Practical protection for a small team, plus your Privacy Act obligations.
Joining up the tools you already have so information stops being retyped.
CRM basics — keeping track of leads, quotes and follow-ups without sticky notes.
Letting customers book, pay and contact you without a single phone call.
Knowing which numbers matter and how to read them without a data degree.
How You Can Take Part
Start free and see what's useful, or go straight to one-on-one advice. Plenty of businesses do both.
Group sessions and self-paced resources at no cost, covering the same topics your adviser can go deeper on.
No charge. Open to eligible small businesses.
Five hours with a digital expert matched to your business, working on your actual problems rather than a generic curriculum.
$100 + GST, one-off. Experiencing financial hardship? Talk to us — it may be provided at no cost.
Eligibility
The criteria are straightforward, and most small operators in the Territory meet them. Sole traders are absolutely welcome — you don't need staff to qualify.
Not in the NT, Queensland or WA? Digital Solutions runs nationally through different providers. You can find a Digital Solutions adviser near you on business.gov.au.
Your Australian Business Number needs to be current and active.
The program is for trading businesses rather than hobbies or unfunded ventures.
Sole traders and one-person operations are welcome and very common.
That's the region True Blue delivers for as a Busy Business partner.
How It Works
No lengthy application, no grant paperwork, no waiting months for an answer.
Active ABN, for-profit, under 20 full-time staff, based in NT, QLD or WA. That's it.
Pick a time that suits online. We'll confirm and ask a few questions about your business first.
Five hours with a digital expert — in person in Darwin or Alice Springs, or online wherever you are.
Clear, practical next steps written in plain English, prioritised by what will help you most.
Why True Blue
True Blue IT Services was named ICT Business of the Year 2023 by ICTNT. We run a small business in the Territory ourselves, so the advice you get is grounded in what actually works here.
Offices on Cavenagh Street in Darwin and in Todd Mall, Alice Springs. Sit down with a real person, or meet online if that's easier.
We build the websites, run the campaigns, set up the software and handle the cyber security every day. You're getting hands-on experience, not a slide deck.
No business is too small for True Blue. If you're not technical, that's fine — explaining things clearly is a core part of the job.
Common Questions
The 1:1 Digital Advisory is $100 + GST, so $110 in total, one-off. That covers five hours of expert assistance. Workshops, webinars and self-directed tutorials are free. If you're experiencing financial hardship, get in touch — the advisory can be provided at no cost.

You need an active ABN, to be operating for profit, to have fewer than 20 full-time employees, and to be based in the Northern Territory, Queensland or Western Australia. Sole traders qualify and make up a large share of the businesses we see.
No. Most people split the time across several sessions so they can go away, action something, then come back with questions. We'll work out a schedule that suits how you actually operate.
Yes. Sessions can run online, which suits businesses in remote communities or anywhere outside Darwin and Alice Springs. If you'd rather meet face to face, our offices are on Cavenagh Street and in Todd Mall.
No. The advisory role is to give you impartial, practical guidance — including telling you when the cheapest or simplest option is the right one, or when you don't need to spend anything at all. If you later want us to build something, that's a separate conversation you're free to have with anyone.
Digital Solutions operates nationally through different providers in each region. You can find a Digital Solutions adviser near you on business.gov.au.
Just your biggest frustration. It helps if you know roughly what tools you're paying for each month and what you'd like to change, but you don't need to prepare anything formal. Turning up with a vague sense that "this could be easier" is a perfectly good start.
Subsidised by the Australian Government, delivered by a local team. Book your Digital Solutions session and let's work out what's actually worth doing next.
