Newsletter services, answered plainly
How much of my time does this actually take?
Usually about ten minutes. You tell us what's happening — by email, phone, a few dot points or a voice note — and then read the draft we send back. That's your whole involvement. You provide the information, we take care of the rest.
What if I don't know what to put in it?
Most people don't, at first. We'll ask a handful of questions about what's been going on — a job you're proud of, a new service, a seasonal reminder, a staff change — and build the newsletter from there. After a couple of rounds, we'll usually be suggesting ideas to you.
Do I get to see it before it goes out?
Always. The finished newsletter is sent to you for review first, and nothing is published to your list until you've approved it. Change as much or as little as you like.
I don't have a customer list yet. Can you help?
Yes. We can set up sign-up forms on your website and social profiles, and help you properly import the contacts you already have in your phone, your accounting software or a spreadsheet. We'll also make sure it's all done in line with the Spam Act.
How often should a newsletter go out?
For most small businesses, monthly is the sweet spot — often enough to be remembered, rare enough that people don't tune out. Some clients run quarterly, others send around specific seasons or events. We'll work out a rhythm that matches how your business actually operates.
Will it look like our brand?
Yes. We build around your logo, colours and fonts so the newsletter looks like a deliberate part of your brand rather than a generic template. If you don't have brand guidelines, we'll work from your website and signage.
Do I own my customer list?
Completely. Your contacts are yours, and you can export them at any time. If you ever decide to bring newsletters in-house or move elsewhere, you take the list with you.
